Stanley Spavold | Chairman
Stan Spavold is an FCA and has been the Executive Vice President of Clearwater Fine Foods Incorporated (CFFI) since 2002. Stan has been part of a small team at CFFI, a diversified holding company with major holdings including Seafood, Telecommunications and Biotechnology. CFFI has over $2.3 billion of assets under management.  Working alongside the President of CFFI, Stan provides financial management and executive oversight at Clearwater. Stan was previously at McCain Foods Limited for 15 years as a senior financial officer. Stan has extensive public board experience and is currently serving on the board of Clearwater Seafoods Limited as Chairman of their finance committee and member of the governance and audit committees. Stan has also served in various leadership roles on the Board of Directors of several public and private companies.  In February 2011 Stan received the FCA honorary designation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nova Scotia. He is active in a member of not-for-profit organizations in his community, having served as a Governor of Dalhousie University, Chairman of The Cobequid Hospital Foundation and Governor of the Tax Foundation of Canada.


Robert Sobey
Mr. Sobey served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Lawton's Drug Stores Limited from February 2006 to January 31, 2014. Mr. Sobey served at Lawton's Drug Stores for 25 years, the last 8 as its Leader. Mr. Sobey served as Senior Vice-President of Merchandising and Marketing of Sobeys Atlantic since 2003. He served at Sobeys Inc. since 1989 and served as its Vice President. He serves as a Director of SeaFort Capital. He has been a Director of Norvista Capital Corporation since April 18, 2016. He has been a Non-Independent Director at Empire Company Limited since 1998. He served as a Director of Sobeys Inc., since 2007.


Darren Koningen, P.Eng.

Darren has over 20 years of experience in both mining and metallurgical engineering.  He is currently the President and a Director of Minera Alamos Inc., a Norvista investee company. Darren was a founding partner of Castle Gold Corporation where he designed, commissioned and operated two gold heap leach operations in Guatemala and Mexico before selling Castle Gold in 2009 for $130 million.  Darren has been a director and held senior management positions in a number of publicly traded resource companies.


Donald Christie
Don had 30 years of experience in the Canadian financial services industry prior to becoming involved in the resource sector in 2007, working in investment banking with TD Securities Inc. and Newcourt Capital Inc.  Don served as CFO of Continental Gold Limited from early 2008 to December 2010 at which time Continental had achieved a market capitalization in excess of $1 billion. During that period he also served as Chairman of the Audit Committee of  TSX listed San Anton Resource Corporation. He is currently Chairman of the Audit Committee of TSX-V listed Northern Graphite Corporation, a director and CFO of Nevada Zinc Corporation, a director of  TSX-V listed Rockcliff Copper Corporation and was the former CFO of TSX listed Calvista Gold Corporation which was sold in December, 2012. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce Honours degree from Queen’s University and received his Chartered Accountant designation while working for PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP.


Bruce Durham
Bruce has been involved in the mineral exploration business for 40 years, most of which have been directly in the junior exploration industry. Much of his career has been spent searching for gold deposits in eastern Canada, although at various times he has been involved in mineral exploration programs for diamond, asbestos, base metals, uranium and molybdenum. He has worked throughout the Americas and has also been involved in exploration programs in Africa and Korea. He has had many contracting and consulting positions and has held a number of senior management.  Bruce’s career has seen him directly involved in a number of successful exploration programs that resulted in several new mines being built, including two of the three Hemlo, Ontario gold mines. Another project led to significant discoveries that are currently being developed by a Chinese entity as Quebec’s newest nickel copper PGE mine. Bruce is currently the President and CEO of  Nevada Zinc Corporation as well as a director of Rockcliff Copper Corporation and  Minera Alamos Inc, all TSX-V listed companies.
